Stage Three

Continuing to take advantage of the learned muscle memory from the previous stages one and two, this stage’s pencil grip provides guidance for the index finger only.  The thumb and middle finger are now automatically incorporated and correctly placed on the pencil.  Here we will begin to see an increase of the psychosocial components of handwriting.  Growth in the areas of coping skills, self-esteem, and motivation are expected.

Stage Three grips are further designed for proper pencil grip development.

It offers the perfect support for the index finger, and once that position is secured, the other two fingers will naturally find the correct position.

The Stage Three grip is an optimal aid that will point handwriting in the right direction!
